'Back to the Streets' marks the second single from her highly anticipated album 'Pretty Bitch Music'. The album's lead single 'Tap In' arrived back in June 2020. Taking into account the positive reception from critics and fans for 'Tap In' and the announcement of a Jhené Aiko collab, 'Pretty Bitch Music' is shaping up to be huge. 'Tap In' was praised by critics for being an energetic and party track as well as for showcasing Saweetie's signature sound. The song was nominated at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards for the Song of Summer Award and peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's US Rhythmic chart and impacted the Hot 100 at No. 20. Additionally, 'Tap In' immediately skyrocketed to popularity on streaming services as well as on radio.

The year 2020 has also been a busy year for the rapper with regard to single releases. Saweetie featured on the soundtrack for the film 'Birds of Prey' with her collaborative song 'Sway with Me' with Galxara. In July, Saweetie collaborated with Tay Money on their track 'Bussin 2.0'. On September 18, Saweetie teamed up with Tyga and YG for the collaborative track, 'Money Mouf'.
