Sarah Harding dating history: Calum Best, Tom Crane to ex who sold her topless pics

People who knew Harding also knew that she wasn't that lucky when it came to finding a partner who would stick around in her life

British singer, model, and actress Sarah Harding is being mourned by her fan and friends alike after she died at the age of 39 following her breast cancer diagnosis last year. 

"It’s with deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away. Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day. She slipped away peacefully this morning," Harding’s mother wrote, announcing her death on Instagram. People who knew Harding also knew that she wasn't that lucky when it came to finding a partner who would stick around in her life. As a result, she ended up having an array of failed relationships. She even claimed her alcohol dependence and depression for which she had to seek rehab in October 2011 were due to the "toxic" relationships.

Speaking to Paul Danan in the episode of 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2017, the Girls Aloud band member said: “A lot of my issues were down to being in a toxic relationship. For me, it stems completely from being hurt, 6 months before I was due to get married. It all just tumbled around me and I had to front everything and he f**ked off to Ibiza and I had nothing. And I felt like I had lost my family and my friends that we had all built for five years. I felt like I had no one left that I could turn to. I was very lonely, I had a few good select friends that helped save me from myself, which I am so grateful for. I’m very much a private person, so for me, it’s quite overwhelming to do this.”

Daily Mail also reported that there was once an ex-boyfriend of hers that leaked her topless pictures to a newspaper. No other details were provided about the former flame. Here is a look at all the men that Harding dated in the past.

Calum Best

The two of them met in 2005 at the Elle Style Awards. Best later described their relationship as "eight months of madness", telling The Sun: "It was a whirlwind, an intense, full-on, fiery relationship. But it was a good fire." However, despite their relationship not being a success, the pair did not stop being friends as he fondly remembered her after she died. 

Sharing a number of photos of them together, he wrote about her death: "Jesus this one hits home, this is so sad, so young, so much life, so much talent. Sarah I’m so sorry ur gone , I will always remember the good times, I remember when we met around 02/03 at a event for glamour, spent all night flirting. We then spent a few years together and I remember u where a shoulder for me when my dad passed and I valued u so much for that ! So blessed we where able to continue on a 16 year friendship. Rest in peace gorgeous and sending so much love to ur mom."

Tom Crane

Harding and DJ Tom Crane dated for five years before they got engaged during a trip to the Maldives over Christmas in 2010. However, they reportedly ended things six months before their planned wedding. Crane confirming the split said, "Sarah and I have decided to take a break. I have nothing else to say".

Harding branded her split from ex-fiance as “one of the biggest mistakes of my life.” She added that she “never stopped blaming herself” for the end of the relationship. She also wrote that she ended up pushing her ex-fiance Tom away during their long-distance relationship. “I've never stopped blaming myself. Losing him was one of the biggest mistakes of my life, but we just couldn't seem to find a way through the impasse.” He has not spoken out regarding her death. His Instagram is filled with romantic photos with a new woman in his life. 

Chad Johnson

Harding embarked on a brief romance with US reality TV star Chad Johnson after meeting in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house in 2017. They split after failing to maintain a long-distance relationship. 

Since then, however, he has empathized with Harding's battle with the terminal disease. He said he was "praying" for his ex since he knew how "rough" cancer can be after he lost his mum to the disease. "Sarah always reminded me of my mum and my mum went through the exact same thing," she said. "It sucks, I am hoping and praying the absolute best for her because I know how difficult the situation can be. My mum had breast cancer and it got into her blood and her liver. I know what Sarah is going through, I mean, I have seen it from day one to the very end and I just hope that she can recover." He added: "I know how rough it is, once you go there there's no real coming back. You're always worrying about it. I took care of my mum the whole time."

Mark Foster and Mikey Green

Harding has also briefly dated music producer Mark Foster. They were together for a year in 2013. After she spent a lot of time out training for gymnastics show 'Tumble,' their relationship hit rock bottom and they parted ways. 

She dated Mikey Green back when she was rising to fame in 2005. The pair met on 'Popstars: The Rivals.' It's reported that Mikey and Sarah were together for three and half years.
