'Rust Valley Restorers' Season 2: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the new Netflix series
Run-down cars being brought back to life and some good reality-TV drama to go along with it, turns out a lot to love there. Originally aired on Canada's History Channel, 'Rust Valley Restorers' is all set to release on Netflix worldwide.
Release Date
Season 2 of the automotive documentary/ reality show will drop on May 8.
Plot
The idea is to soup up dilapidated, rejected scraps (that were fully-functioning cars once) and sell them for a profit. The premise sounds much like MTV's 'Pimp My Ride,' except here there will be no fancy, over-the-top flame stickers adorning the sides of a car. This is about serious overhauling, something that will find them a spot in a customer's garage.
Cast
Mike Hall
Mike, the owner of Rust Bros, continued to collect cars until he finally figured out they were better off being revamped and sold off than just sitting idle as pieces of scraps in his backyard. At one point, he had as many as 400 cars with him, of which most didn't work, bent out of shape, or just plain old. He decided to get them running at his garage because they were special, some even now-non-existent models.
"The car restoration business is known for setbacks. If you're not going to keep trying, you're not going to get back out of the grave. This year, there's no more time for practice," he said in the trailer.
Connor Hall
Mike's son, Connor, has followed in his footsteps doing what he can best to ensure that every car that enters the garage is spruced up and sent out the door quickly. He understands and acknowledges Mike's vision, calls it the "real deal" and also shares how important it is to make money off of the upgraded cars.
Avery Shoaf
He is the manager of the garage and is in it to "shake things up a little bit." He takes his job seriously and is on a mission to prove that there's money in the restoration business. What he also brings to the table is energy and fierce opinions.
