Ungodly Threesome! Rupert Murdoch and Ann Lesley Smith canceled their wedding over Tucker Carlson
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The actual reason behind Rupert Murdoch and Ann Lesley Smith ending their engagement has come out. It has been said that the media mogul did not want to go forward in his relationship with Smith just two weeks after announcing their wedding plans because the former dental hygienist believes Tucker Carlson was a “messenger from god”.
Earlier also, a source had reportedly shared that "the wedding is off," since the Australian-born American business magnate became "increasingly uncomfortable" with the late country music star Chester Smith’s widow’s "outspoken evangelical views."

Murdoch had reportedly proposed to Smith months after divorcing his fourth wife Jerry Faye Hall. Reports said that he expressed his love on St Pat’s Day via an 11-carat diamond engagement ring, priced at nearly $2.5 million. RadarOnline.com citing an insider said that Smith was "around Murdoch" even before the 92-year-old’s divorce from Hall had been finalized.
‘I met her and we talked a bit’
At the time, Murdoch told The New York Post, “I was very nervous. I dreaded falling in love — but I knew this would be my last. It better be. I'm happy.” About his first meeting with the 66-year-old at his vineyard Moraga in Bel Air, California, he said, “She and her husband also owned a vineyard and had been in the wine business. Last year when there were 200 people at my vineyard, I met her and we talked a bit. Two weeks later I called her.”
Smith also spoke in March and told the publication, “For us both it’s a gift from God. We met last September. I’m a widow for 14 years. Like Rupert, my husband was a businessman. Worked for local papers, developed radio and TV stations, and helped promote Univision.”
‘We share the same beliefs’
She added, “So I speak Rupert’s language. We share the same beliefs. In perspective, it’s not my first rodeo. Getting near 70 means being in the last half. I waited for the right time. Friends are happy for me.”
But it seems things did not work out well between the two as a tipster reportedly said, “She [Smith] said Tucker Carlson is a messenger from God, and he said nope.”
This comes as earlier reports said that Murdoch called for divorce from his fourth wife by sending an email. Apparently, he just wrote, “Jerry, sadly I’ve decided to call an end to our marriage. We have certainly had some good times, but I have much to do…My New York lawyer will be contacting yours immediately,” to Hall. After receiving the message, the supermodel felt “devastated, mad, and humiliated,” Tom Cashin, a close friend of Terry Hall, claimed.
Before Hall, Murdoch was married to Wendi Deng and welcomed two daughters together – Grace and Chloe. His second wife was Anna Maria Torv, who also became a mother to his three children together: Elisabeth, Lachlan, and James. The founder of News Corp and the owner of several major media outlets' first marriage was with Patricia Booker and he has his first child, a son named Prudence, with her.
