'Tucker Carlson is morally backrupt': Internet blasts Fox News host for his remarks about Club Q mass shooting
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Social media users slammed Fox News host Tucker Carlson for his remarks about the mass shooting at the LGBTQ Club Q in Colorado Springs. While covering the incident that claimed the lives of five people and left another 25 people injured, Carlson said, that such tragedies never stop "being horrifying" no matter "how many times you've seen it."
“Violence and cruelty should always horrify us every single time. When we start to become cynical about the deaths of other human beings, we have lost something essential to our humanity. Unfortunately, you’re seeing that,” he remarked. However, many on social media were quick to point out Carlson and his past anti-LGBTQ remarks. One user wrote on Twitter, “Tucker also conveniently ignored his important role in stirring up violent and anti-LGBT rhetoric.” “Just stop it, @TuckerCarlson. You know exactly why, and you've more than contributed to the problem. Stop spewing the nightly hateful and dishonest rhetoric (that you yourself argued legally can't be taken as truth), and then pretending you have no idea why these things happen,” another said while adding, “I'm so sick of him and people like him inciting acts like this because of their lies and hate speech, and then washing their hands clean by pretending every one of these people who commit these acts don't hang on their every word. It's not politics, it's just disgusting.”
