This precedes another bit of big news. Hall, 66, has joined a group of elite women, all of whom turned billionaires after divorcing their extremely wealthy ex-partners.
On Wednesday, August 10, it was revealed that Hall and her 91-year-old ex-husband had settled their divorce agreement and agreed to remain good friends. Sources said that Hall would probably never have to worry about finances again after ex-husband Rupert has left her enough to last her the rest of her life.

As per sources, Hall has walked away from the marriage with $303M, the Holmwood House besides one in St Tropez. Lawyer Mark Stephens also revealed to the public that Murdoch might have been willing to continue funding Hall's lifestyle and expenses even after their divorce.
This may not be the only high-profile divorce where one partner walked away with such a large divorce settlement. Here are some more of the elite ex-wives who walked away from their marriages exceedingly wealthy:
1. Melinda Gates
When Melinda and Bill Gates announced they were divorcing after 27 years of marriage in May 2021, the announcement stunned the whole globe. The couple's divorce was concluded in secret in August in Washington, where their Gates Foundation is headquartered. There was no prenup, and the couple instead split their assets in accordance with a secret separation agreement. But at the time, Bill was reputedly valued $152B, giving Melinda a 50 percent settlement of $76B. Melinda owns an investment company Pivotal Ventures. She and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' ex-wife Mackenzie Scott joined hands to give away $40M to four organizations that promote gender equality, according to CNBC.
2. MacKenzie Scott
After being married in 1993 and having four kids together, Jeff Bezos and his wife Mackenzie Scott split in 2019. In 1994, Jeff started Amazon as an online bookshop. She worked as an accountant and assisted in negotiating freight contracts as the business developed. She also has writing experience. Following the divorce agreement, Forbes listed MacKenzie as the 22nd richest person in the world. MacKenzie received barely a quarter of Jeff's $144B share of Amazon, representing a four percent ownership in the firm valued $35.8B. Jeff maintained the remaining 25 percent. So far, Mackenzie has donated a whopping $8.5B of her fortune to 786 non-profit organisations. Known for her generous donations, she has said that she will not stop until her safe is empty.
3. Princess Haya
In Britain's largest-ever divorce settlement, Princess Haya bint Hussein, the ex-wife of Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and one of the richest men in the world, received $668M in December 2021. The majority of it went toward security expenses to protect the princess and her two small children, Jalila and Zayed, whom she had with the sheikh, from kidnapping. The princess may continue to live the lavish lifestyle she enjoyed as the sheikh's sixth wife thanks to the award, although it was $1.08B less than what her attorneys had initially sought. Lawyers representing the princess had argued that the sizeable money was required to protect her and the kids from her ex-husband.
4. Talulah Riley
The parts that British actress Talulah Riley played in 'Pride & Prejudice', 'St Trinian's', 'Fritton's Gold', 'The Boat That Rocked', 'Inception', 'Westworld', and 'Bloodshot' are what people most remember her for. According to Ashlee Vance in her book 'Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future', she is reported to have met billionaire Tesla founder Elon Musk in a London club, and the two hit it off immediately. After reconciling twice, the couple finally parted ways in March 2016. In their most recent breakup, which involved an out-of-court settlement, there was no reference to a prenuptial agreement, according to TMZ. She received $16 million as part of her divorce settlement.
5. Kristy Bertarelli
In 2021, model and pop singer Kirsty Bertarelli discreetly filed for divorce from her millionaire husband Ernesto, making her one of Britain's wealthiest divorcees. Many people were shocked to hear the news because none had anticipated trouble in the couple's 21-year marriage. With a combined wealth estimated to be an astonishing $11.1B, they were featured together in 14th position on the Sunday Times Rich List for 2021. The Daily Mail understood that Kristy, a former Miss UK who was born in Staffordshire, had consented to accept a $422M million settlement, but the pair refused to discuss it. She would therefore be the wealthiest divorcee of British descent in legal history.
6. Marla Maples
According to their prenuptial agreement, which was leaked to Vanity Fair, former US president and billionaire businessman Donald Trump only promised to give his second wife Marla Maples $1M if they divorced within five years. Marla wanted $25 million, but the couple couldn't agree on the terms. Trump allegedly offered her only $1M million if they split within five years and another $1M to buy a property, refusing to engage in negotiations. He reportedly agreed to provide their daughter Tiffany $100,000 in child support each year until she was 21. He would fully discontinue the payments if she acquired a full-time job, enlisted in the military, or joined the Peace Corps.
7. Irina Malandina
After meeting on an Aeroflot trip to Germany in 1991, Irina Malandina married Roman Abramovich, a Russian billionaire and the former owner of Chelsea FC. The couple divorced in 2007. She was previously thought to be entitled to a compensation of more than $2.41B, however, the pair decided to file for divorce in Russia, where settlement amounts are sometimes much lower than those determined by UK courts and are kept secret. Later, she was said to have gotten $187M, which included previous marital residences, a boat, a jet, and separate payments for her kids, according to renowned Russian business publication Vedomosti. Some estimates claim that with the help of judicious investments, her fortune might have increased to $604M.
