What is LaLa Ri's net worth? Meet 'RuPaul's Drag Race' queen who isn't a part of Tamisha Iman's family anymore
"Oh, what you say, what you say? LaLa Ri is here to slay!" The queen made a sensational entry at the 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 13 werk room in her shiny blazer and bodysuit dress, channeling her inner Beyonce. Even though, Denali may not have been appreciative of the "flat hair" and simple look, LaLa told judge Michelle Visage that the premiere look helps her stay classy and sexy at the same time.
Talking to The GA Voice, the contestant dished on what inspires her drag avatar and a lowdown on what makes her worthy of being America's Next Drag Superstar. "I’m really inspired by Beyonce, I like stage productions, over-the-top glam, choreography, dancers, lights, all of that," she said of her look and added that her character may be sassy and classy but is also a bit of a "ratchet".
She also spoke of how she is related to Tamisha but that was also a long time ago. Both remember each other fondly, but they are not related any longer. LaLa confirmed that she reunited with her drag mother only when they began filming for the show. "It was cool! It was cool to not only have somebody else from Atlanta but someone that I had personal ties to." "Had" being the operative word here.
In Episode 1, LaLa Ri ruled with her 'When I Grow Up' (Pussycat Dolls) lip-sync. She was confident from the start and knew her way around the stage. It also helped that Denali was in her ice skates, which restricted her movement. She also promptly admitted to it in her confessional, saying she can lip-sync but not while figure-skating.
