LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: A large red feather on Princess Anne's hat on Saturday severely impeded Prince Harry's ability to see his father, King Charles III, being crowned. In images from the significant royal occasion, the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex can be seen carefully trying to maneuver his head around the enormous plume in order to get a better view of the ceremony.

Coincidentally, a big candle had obstructed his wife Meghan Markle during Queen Elizabeth II's burial last September. Meghan chose not to attend the coronation. Meanwhile, though netizens seemed to think Anne's plumed headgear was 'intentional', the royal was spotted conversing with another guest and didn't appear to be aware that she was obstructing her nephew's view behind her.

Unlike other ladies during the coronation, Charles' sole sister was clad in a military uniform due to her formal duties. She was the Gold Stick in Waiting, in charge of ensuring the monarch's safety on the important day, as per reports. The plumed headgear was part of her uniform. Princess Anne had spoken about the uniform in an interview with Canadian broadcaster CBC ahead of the coronation. She had joked that her ceremonial military role on Saturday, May 6, made it easy to choose what to wear. “Gold Stick was the original close protection officer,” she said. “That is a role that I was asked if I’d like to do for this coronation, so I said yes. Not least of all, it solves my dress problem.”

'Did they deliberately put Prince Harry behind Princess Anne?'

Royal fans took to social media to express their amusement at Prince Harry's predicament. One user wrote,"Prince Harry is hidden behind the feather on Princess Anne's hat... last time it was a candle." Another penned down,"Love that Princess Anne has a feather on her hat, can't see Prince Harry's face, a bit like the candle!" One Twitter user qyestioned, "Did they deliberately put Prince Harry behind Princess Anne's massive hat?" Another user questioned: "Did Princess Anne wear that hat deliberately to p*** off Prince Harry?"

After months of doubt about whether he would attend the coronation, Prince Harry finally made it to London's Westminster Abbey and witnessed his father being crowned. Days prior to the event, it was revealed that Harry would fly alone, leaving Meghan behind in California to take care of their two children, Prince Archie Harrison and Princess Lilibet Diana.

Prince Harry had 'heart-to-heart' with his father

After his presence was confirmed, sources claimed that Prince Harry had made the decision to go following a "heart-to-heart" discussion with King Charles. According to reports, the King was "delighted" that Harry would attend the event but "disappointed" that Meghan wouldn't be there, as reported by ExpressUk.
