Americans are Team Meghan Markle as they slam King Charles III's coronation as an 'abomination'
MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: After denouncing "bad behavior" of King Charles III and calling his coronation an "abomination," Americans are now on "team" Meghan Markle. The monarch entered Westminster Abbey to receive their formal coronation as King on Saturday, May 6. However, the big day is still controversial as Prince Harry, the family's estranged son, was the only one to fly back to the UK.
Archie, Lilibet, and his wife Meghan have reportedly remained in their California house. It follows a number of prominent interviews in which the two, while still members of the royal family, criticized the system. Furthermore, it looks like Americans are supporting the Sussexes.

'I'm not watching the Coronation of Charles'
As people took this matter on Twitter, as one of them wrote, "If I were #meghanmarkle I would be so glad I was not at the coronation. To much time on your feet and a whole lot of #pageantry #Coronation". Another user wrote, "One thing I am thankful for today is that Meghan Markle is as far away from this shit show of a coronation as she possibly can be. I hope she has a fantastic, carefree day with birthday boy Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Happy Birthday Archie!"
Someone else wrote, "I’m not a monarchist but I am 100% #TeamHarryandMeghan and I loved Diana, and so by the laws decreed upon me by Justice Twitter, I must despite Camilla. Thing is, something that has always sat badly with me is that we always seem to judge the other woman, and not the man who did the cheating. In real life if a friends partner cheats we all come together to hate the woman to make our friend feel better. It’s not realistic. So that said, I don’t hate Camilla. She made some bad mistakes in her youth. A long time ago." Another user wrote, "Coronation Abomination Charles should be King of Bad Behavior. Remember Diana, who should be queen? Not miss consorting with someone else’s husband…"

Charles should be King of Bad Behavior.
Remember Diana, who should be queen? Not miss consorting with someone else’s husband…

'Meghan wants to be there to support her father-in-law'
On the same day (6 May), she has chosen to celebrate the fourth birthday of her son Prince Archie. Despite being invited to King Charles' coronation, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly fears being scrutinized, according to a close friend. In an interview with People Magazine, an unnamed friend said, "Meghan wants to be there to support her father-in-law, but at the same time, the scrutiny she receives outweighs the support," as reported by Dailystar. According to a survey conducted by the Economist, less than half of Americans think favorably of Charles.
