NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Real Housewives of New York City' cast member Bethenny Frankel has found herself in unfamiliar territory after trying to school the internet on a cooking hack. The 52-year-old was a cast member of the show during its first three seasons, before leaving to focus on her business and other endeavors. Frankel later returned to the show in its seventh season. On Instagram, Bethenny Frankel has 2.9 million followers and has recently been posting a plethora of cooking hacks and recipes as part of short videos.

The latest one, a recipe for an "onion ring with an egg inside," seems to have rubbed the internet the wrong way! The recipe itself was straightforward and involved a grand total of two main ingredients: onion rings and eggs. The 'RHONY' actor first put the onion rings in a pan and proceeded to cook them. After garnishing them, she then proceeded to add an egg to each ring.

Frankel seemed exhilarated with her finding and posted the 'cooking hack' expecting her huge audience to also be left excited. However, that seems to not be the case, with most people claiming that she should not be using two expensive food items in a video meant for the general public. In the comments section of the video, one user claimed that the meal was worth $20, "That’s a $20 meal now with the current cost of eggs!"

Another thought that the star was flaunting her wealth,"The rich flexing with eggs right now." One user encouraged Frankel to add a burger to the dish, "On top of a burger." Another went on to explain why the egg prices had been rising in the country, "No eggs to be found in California. Thanks to a new law must be cage free only in the state."
