The ladies of New York City are back with another wild season of 'The Real Housewives of New York City'. The upcoming season has been in the news for a while now with Bethenny Frankel announcing her exit and a new housewife entering the show. Read on to find out everything that you can expect from Season 12.

Release Date

'The Real Housewives of New York City' Season 12 will premiere on Thursday, April 2, 2020.

Plot

Season 12  picks off from where it ended last season where Ramona Singer continued her search for love after her split with ex-husband Mario while still being on flirtatiously good terms with him. We also witnessed Tinsley Mortimer's struggle with her on-off boyfriend Scott Kluth and giving him an ultimatum for marriage. Kluth proposed to her earlier this year and rumor has it that he's asked Mortimer to continue with the show or move to Chicago to be with him. Mortimer stopped filming five weeks before the season wrapped up and her departure will be the main focus of the season, according to Yahoo.

Cast

RHONY veterans Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley, and Tinsley Mortimer are returning for Season 12. Bethenny Frankel is not coming back.

Leah McSweeney is the newest housewife joining the cast on this season. The New York native is a mom to 12-year-old Keir aka Kiki and the founder of the women’s streetwear brand, Married to the Mob. Former housewife, Bethenny Frankel helped Leah get cast on the show.

De Lesseps is already in awe of her new co-star. “She's gorgeous, she’s really beautiful. And what I like about her is she is somebody who is self-made and vulnerable at the same time,” she said. “So I think people can relate to her.” said De Lesseps about McSweeney during an appearance on Michelle Collins’ SiriusXM show.

Trailer

Judging by the trailer, the season is about to be full of drama, viewers will see a housewife making out with her girlfriend and the housewive's big trip to Mexico. There's also quite a few epic moments featuring Sonja Morgan where she falls off a chair and second instance where she is seen squatting butt naked in a cornfield, taking a piss. Oh, and Dorinda Medley is drinking again.
