'RHOC' Spoilers: What is Kelly Dodd's ethnicity? Housewife yells 'I'm Black' after she's called racist
If you thought Kelly Dodd declaring Andy Cohen an "anti-American" for not supporting Donald Trump was the only foot in the mouth moment that the housewife would have during the Season 15 reunion of 'Real Housewives of Orange County', you might want to rethink that. In the preview clip for the upcoming episode of the reunion finale, the housewife can be seen screaming that she's Black.
In the clip shown towards the end of Part 1 of the reunion episode, we see Braunwyn calling out Kelly for being a racist, by bringing up the housewife's infamous "Drunk Wives Matter" hat. On October 2020, Kelly posted a series of pictures from her bachelorette party on her Instagram. One of the pictures featured the housewife wearing a hat that reads "Drunk Housewives Matter", a play on the words of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Kelly was instantly called out by internet users for her insensitive accessory. Unfortunately, the housewife wasn't even apologetic about it, despite being called out by many. When a fan gently tried to point to her that her hat might be insensitive, she replied, "No it’s not I’m on the housewives it’s a play on words its funny come on." As she began getting more harsh comments from her followers, Kelly continued to defend her hat by writing, "People think I’m mocking BLM that hat was made well before the pandemic. I’m not mocking BLM I support them. why are people so sensitive?”
During the reunion, Braunwyn brought that up to prove how Kelly was racist, but the housewife wasn't still ready to take responsibility for her behavior. Kelly began yelling "I'm Black" in response to Braunwyn's accusation. In case you're curious to know if Kelly is Black, then we got you covered. The housewife is of Latina heritage, and her parents are from Mexico. She was, however, born and brought up in Arizona. In one of the earlier episodes, we saw Kelly admitting that she didn't know much about Latina culture, and called up her father to learn more about it.
