'I'm going to kick cancer’s a**': Teddi Mellencamp shares photos after surgery to remove stage 2 melanoma
American TV personality, Teddi Mellencamp, disclosed that she underwent surgery to remove melanomas and lymph nodes on Tuesday, October 25, after receiving a stage 2 diagnosis. The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star, 41, posted new images on her Instagram account on Wednesday following her latest procedure. Mellencamp can be seen taking a picture while her back was covered in multiple bandages and a close-up image of a surgical scar in one of the photos, writing, "Thank you Dr. Fairies and all the incredible nurses for taking such good care of me." She also posted a selfie with an oxygen mask on her face.
“Lots of questions about updates. Here is the truth; there isn’t one, which may be one of the hardest parts about this. The waiting.” Mellencamp wrote on her Instagram post. “Yesterday, I had surgery. I had melanomas removed. I had lymph nodes that lit up so they were also removed and additional biopsies are being done."

She continued, “Hopefully I will get those results soon. Next Wednesday I will get a full genetic mutation testing done for BRCA2, etc.” The 'Two Ts in a Pod' co-host highlighted that she shared her journey after receiving messages from fans who are also being tested for melanoma.
“I am grateful to my family, friends and husband [Edwin Arroyave] who welcomed my pain and anxiety with open arms. I 💕 you all so much and I just know I am going to kick this cancer’s a**- with the help of my incredible doctors and nurses of course,” she wrote. “I am giving myself permission to crash on the days I need to and work my butt off on the rest, showing up for me, my family and all my streams of work to reach new goals. Life comes in waves and we will always be stronger for it… on the good days and the bad. 🖤.”
Mellencamp’s followers including fellow Bravolebrities showed their love and support for her in the comments section of her post. “Sending so much love and prayers. ♥️🙏🏼,” her former 'RHOBH' co-star Dorit Kemsley wrote. “We love you Teddi ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Praying for you. Wishing for a fast and easy recovery ❤️,” castmate Kyle Richards’ daughter Alexia Umansky commented. “Get well Teddy! Sending lots of love and healing power from our family to you. ❤️,” Eddie Judge, who is married to Tamra Judge, Mellencamp’s podcast co-host, chimed in.
Mellencamp was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma months after removing a mole from her back earlier this year.
