SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: Jen Shah said on Thursday that she will not be doing an interview with Andy Cohen. The 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' actress would not sit with the Bravo host to discuss the fallout from her jail sentence.

"I will not be doing the 1:1 with Andy Cohen and Bravo," the convicted fraudster said in an Instagram post on Thursday. Jen stated that she is passing up the opportunity due to the network's reported "unwillingness to remove contractual provisions." The reality star stated that she did not want "misrepresentations" regarding her "story, relating to any and all topics, prior and during the course of my participation" on 'RHOSLC' to be made. Jen has been a regular on the successful unscripted series since its inception in 2020. Season 3 recently concluded, with part one of its reunion — minus the contentious Bravolebrity — premiering on Wednesday.

"This specific 1 on 1 interview was not part of my RHOSLC reality tv contract," she said. "I promised myself and my loving family that I would not allow this portion of my life to be sensationalized or inaccurately conveyed." Jen also stated that "too many people have been hurt by my actions" and that she has an "inability to control my own narrative." "I would rather remain silent and wait until I am able to accurately share my story than continue having complete lies and misrepresentations about me smeared across headlines," she said.

Jen ended her post by promising to speak out in the near future. "You will hear from me," she promised. "I will share my story and this painful part of my life very soon."

Andy remarked on SiriusXM's Radio Andy earlier this month that he was looking forward to a possible interview with Jen. "I’m hoping to go talk to Jen this weekend," the 'Real Housewives' executive producer remarked on January 9. "I’m hopeful that I can do that sit-down [interview] with her in front of some cameras and deliver that to you. I’m really hoping to do that."

Andy's remarks came only days after Jen was sentenced to six and a half years in prison for coordinating a statewide telemarketing campaign that mostly targeted vulnerable elderly people.

Jen Shah is due to begin her term on February 17 in a federal prison in Texas.
