'Radio Disney Presents ARDYs Summer Playlist': Airdate, line-up, host and all you need to know about the music special
Some of the biggest names in pop music are coming together for Disney Channel's Night of Music for the July 10 special 'Radio Disney Presents ARDYs Summer Playlist'. With fan-favorite artists such as Katy Perry, Dua Lip, BTS and more, the event aims to honor teachers with an exciting night of music and fundraising as part of the ARDYs Heroes for Change Award.
On their official website, Disney Channel says, "ARDYs SUMMER PLAYLIST takes a fast-paced look at the most exciting Radio Disney artists and turns up the volume on their great performances and appearances. We see and hear how the artists, stars, and fans are gonna turn this into a summer to remember."
Money raised for the show will benefit DonorsChoose, a charity that supports teacher projects, helping them bring classroom dreams to life and encouraging their students to be better equipped to thrive. Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, ARDYs will be a completely virtual experience. The celebration will also include a look back at iconic moments from the first seven years of ARDYs.
The special will also air back-to-back with 'Disney Channel Summer Sing-Along' with special guests including but not limited to Demi Lovato, Coco Jones, Olivia Rodrigo, performing songs from Disney Channel Original Movies and more.

The hour-long music celebration kicks off on Friday, July 10 at 9 pm on Disney Channel here.
'Radio Disney Presents ARDYs Summer Playlist' follows 'Disney Channel Summer Sing-Along' which airs at 8 pm on the same network.
Who is hosting?
It will be hosted by 'Austin & Ally' star and singer, songwriter and recording artist, Laura Marano. She played Ally Dawson in the family comedy series and has acted in films such as 'Lady Bird' (2017), 'Saving Zoë' (2019), and 'The Perfect Date' (2019). She has also done many voice-over jobs including the commercially successful animated films, 'Finding Nemo' (2003) and 'Ice Age: The Meltdown'. As a singer, her debut single 'Boombox' released in 2016 and her EP 'Me' arrived last year. Her other singles include 'Lie To Me', 'When You Wake Up', 'Not Like Me' and more.
