'Projected my envy onto her': Meghan Markle admits she 'judged' Paris Hilton before 'Archetypes' podcast
In the most recent episode of her 'Archetypes' podcast on Spotify, Meghan Markle admitted to being anxious about speaking with socialite Paris Hilton because she had "a judgment" about the star. The Duchess of Sussex met the 41-year-old socialite in the most recent episode of her podcast series, 'Breaking Down The Bimbo', where they talked about how she became famous as a reality TV star in the early 2000s.
Markle, 41, admitted to her audience before the interview that she was nervous and said, "I've been the most nervous about this one." In the refreshingly honest episode, Markle explored why "brains and beauty in a woman have historically been pitted against each other" and discussed the terms "Bimbo" and "Dumb blonde."

Meghan while saying that she judged Paris Hilton, openly explained, "Because while I'm embarrassed to admit it, I had a judgment about Paris. And I don't like having judgment doesn't feel good." She continued, "But I had to be real about that because when I grew up, she was beautiful, rich, and famous. What could possibly be wrong with her life?"
Meghan also said, "Because my entire sense of self-confidence was wrapped up in being the smart one and not the pretty one, I found the way to project all of my judgment and envy onto her." She added, "Who would want to act stupid? I would think. Envy can be a very dangerous thing, as can judgment. I was ashamed to admit that I harbored either of those feelings," reported Independent.
Meghan featured on Season 2 of NBC's 'Deal or No Deal' 16 years ago. She stood beside briefcase number 11 for two episodes and was later moved to number 24. However, she left the show midway through the season. Explaining why she quit her gig as a 'Deal or No Deal' briefcase girl, Meghan said it was because she felt she was being treated like a "bimbo" and was only appreciated for "beauty not brains." He further continued, "I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage. I didn't like feeling forced to be all looks. And little substance. And that's how it felt for me at the time being reduced to this specific archetype the word bimbo."
In her attempt to break into the acting world and "pay the bills," the Duchess of Sussex said she was grateful for the work, but "not how it made me feel, which was not smart."
