During a candid appearance on The Sunday Project, Paris Hilton spoke out against the ever-changing beauty standards on social media. The 41-year-old, who has nearly 19 million Instagram followers, believes that today's society's usage of filters and editing tools is 'poison' for young people to see.

In the interview that was hosted by Lisa Wilkinson, Hilton said, “I can't imagine being 12, 13-years-old and seeing these beauty standards that are not real, and using the filters all the time,” adding, “It's just... I don't know. I think it's not really good for someone's mind at that age.” Along with this when Wilkinson asked Hilton’s view on whether she thinks people underestimate her, she said, “If they don't know me, definitely.” She added, “I played that character from The Simple Life for so long in the public eye... I always love being underestimated. I love proving people wrong.” She continued, “I'm not a dumb blonde, I'm just very good at pretending to be one.”

Paris rose to stardom after co-starring in the reality TV show 'The Simple Life' with her best friend Nicole Richie from 2003 to 2007. She went on to try her hand at acting and singing before establishing herself as a club DJ and earning lucrative clothes and perfume sponsorship deals. The socialite said in her YouTube documentary ‘This Is Paris’ in 2020 that she developed the character of 'Paris Hilton' to get fame and construct a multi-million dollar business empire.

Currently, Paris is married and is said to be happily enjoying her time with her husband. Paris found her happily-ever-after and married Carter Reum over the course of a three-day extravaganza on November 11, 2021. She told Daily Pop in January 2022 that she and her new husband would like to have 'probably two or three' children. She added, “That is definitely one of my top priorities.” We soon can expect happy news from the couple, we believe.

After Hilton expressed about beauty standards and them being toxic, many people drove to Twitter to share their views. One troll addressed Hilton saying, “From one of the creators of the problem.” Another said, “LMFAO at Paris Hilton knew she would B pissed that Kim Kartrashian wore Marilyn Monroe's dress 2 the Met Gala. She "taking a stand" against toxic beauty stds that she perpetuates after Kim bragged eating tomatoes and a sauna suit for 2 wks to try to get her fat fake ass to fit it.” One other user wrote, “She (or some adviser) may believe that if she criticizes such behavior loudly enough that that will absolve her (in someone's opinion) of her responsibility for the wreckage she's caused. She's seen this tactic work for Trump and other politicians.”
