It was only towards the end of episode 8 in 'Private Lives' that Joo-eun (Seohyun) had begun to have suspicions about if her husband Jeong-hwan (Go Kyung-pyo) was really dead. This, after she was saved by a strange man in a helmet, however, in the promo of the upcoming episode 9, we see that she comes face to face with him. Jeong-hwan had left in a hurry to confront Joo-eun about all the lies that she had spun about being an orphan and about her time in prison among other things. It looks like he succeeded because Joo-eun not only saw her husband rise from the dead, she also lashed out at him hard for fooling her.

Jeong-hwan was also mad at Joo-eun because it turned out that he was not the only one who had lied about his family or work background in this relationship. So he also lashes out at her and they do not seem to see eye to eye. In fact, Joo-eun slaps Jeong-hwan and asks him if he even loved her at all. Both of them are clearly heartbroken, however, can they work together to bring GK down? At the moment, Edward Kim aka Kim Jae-wook who mentored Jeong-hwan has rejoined the GK's team of shadow agents. This indicates that GK may not help Jeong-hwan if he were to get into trouble and that in turn would mean that Joo-eun is also in danger.

In fact, the reason why Jeong-hwan did not reveal anything to his wife so far was that he was worried about her being in danger. Now that the two of them have been forced to come clean, we cannot wait to see how the two of them would work together. Bok-gi (Kim Hyo-jin), on the other hand, might not continue her partnership with Joo-eun if she finds out that the side that she is on could very well lose the battle. In fact, the promo shows her trying to figure out who among the GK shadow agents happen to be the most powerful so that she can align herself with them. Then there is also Edward Kim and Jeong-hwan facing each other where Edward seems to be clearly having a lot of fun seeing the predicament that his junior is in.

As far as we had seen, the two of them had started off on a good note but something festered animosity between the two of them, and we also want to know what this is.

'Private Lives' airs on JTBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 pm KST and can be streamed on Netflix outside of South Korea.
