Princess Charlotte turns 7: Kate Middleton shares adorable pics of daughter with family dog Orla
Prince William and Kate Middleton's daughter Princess Charlotte turned seven on Monday, May 2, and to mark the occasion the proud parents shared three new pictures. All the three pictures were clicked in Norfolk this weekend by mom Kate. Charlotte, who is the spitting image of dad William in the photos, is all smiles as she poses in a field of bluebells near the family's country home, Anmer Hall. She is wearing a pretty blue jumper over a white blouse and with her long hair flowing past her shoulders. In one photo, Charlotte is hugging the family new dog, Orla, a cocker spaniel that the Cambridges adopted last fall after the death of their beloved dog Lupo.
Charlotte was born at the private maternity Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, central London, on May 2, 2015, weighing 8lb 3oz. Last year, a picture of Charlotte looking happy and relaxed in a floral summer dress was released to mark her sixth birthday. For her fifth birthday, Charlotte was pictured helping her brothers and their parents to load a van with food to deliver meals to the people in need in Norfolk.

The Cambridge family spends much of their time away from London at their Norfolk home of Anmer Hall on the Queen's Sandringham estate. Kate is a keen amateur photographer, and in 2017 she accepted a lifetime honorary membership of the Royal Photographic Society which recognized her "talent and enthusiasm". She regularly releases images of her children to mark important occasions like birthdays. Last year, a picture of Charlotte looking happy and relaxed in a floral summer dress was released to mark her sixth birthday. The duke and duchess of Cambridge captioned the picture "seven tomorrow" with a birthday cake emoji.
The royals adopted Orla in 2020, shortly before the death of their previous dog, Lupo, which was given to them as a wedding present by the Duchess's brother, James Middleton. The princess's birthday comes after Prince William and Catherine marked their 11th wedding anniversary on Friday, April 29. Less formally, Charlotte, George, and Kate were spotted last month enjoying a post-school run treat on a warm spring day, as they went out for ice cream.
A short statement from Kensington Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her seventh birthday.” The birthday girl's full title is Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.
