Exodus from Archewell continues as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lose 16th staff member since 2018
MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Archewell Productions’ documentary, ‘Live To Lead’, may have received positive responses from a lot of fans, but it seems that all is not well at the organization. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle-owned media company has just taken a huge blow. They have lost two important members of their staff recently — their Head of Marketing, Fara Taylor, and the head of internal content, Ben Browning.
The Sussex camp has informed that they are hugely grateful for the outgoing staffers' support for their work in the company on ‘vital look-back projects’. They have also added that Taylor and Browning have ‘exceeded expectations’ in their performances as part of the Archewell Productions team. Interestingly, it is reported that the number of staff who have left Archewell since 2018 has now increased to sixteen members, as per Daily Mail. However, the nonprofit was not officially launched until 2020.

About the exiting of the top executives, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s global press secretary, Ashley Hansen, said in her statement, “Ben and Fara have been integral to the creation and execution of many critically and commercially acclaimed projects during their tenure," as per Daily Mail. “They have expertly delivered content and campaigns that have exceeded expectations and made their mark within the cultural zeitgeist.” Fara Taylor notably also handled the release of the couple’s docuseries ‘Harry and Meghan’ and the memoir ‘Spare.’
She continued to praise Browning and Taylor and said, “They played a critical role in helping to tell the stories of the Duke and Duchess thus far and the couple remain hugely grateful for their support on those vital ‘look back’ projects, as they now look forward.”
The exiting of Taylor and Browning has brought the shuffles happening at Archewell under the spotlight. Many employees have reportedly seen a change in their roles and many new members have been hired, with Miranda Barbot being named director of global communications and press secretary and Maren Thomas being named manager of communications. Some of the new hires include Serena Regan as the head of podcasts and Shauna Nep as co-executive director of the philanthropic wing, the Archewell Foundation.
This reportedly comes after the Sussexes had announced that they were taking full control of their company following the exit of previous Archewell President, Mandana Dayani in December 2022. Dayani’s exit was said to be “mutually planned.” Another loss for the company was Rebecca Sananes, who was Head of Audio at Archewell — she had been hired to produce Markle’s podcast, ‘Archetypes’.
