Royal photographer taken to task for accusing Prince Harry of ‘doing nothing but feeding chickens'

Prince Harry's absence from his grandfather Prince Philip's memorial service is being debated globally

Prince Harry who was recently slammed for choosing the ‘Invictus Games’ over Prince Philip’s memorial event is once again criticized. After missing his grandfather Prince Philip's memorial ceremony on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, Prince Harry has been accused of 'doing nothing' with wife Meghan Markle at their California residence. Additionally, he is being savaged for only feeding his chickens rather than doing anything else at his place.

At a memorial service conducted at Westminister Abbey on Tuesday, the Royal Family paid respect to the late Duke of Edinburgh. The Queen attended the memorial despite concerns about her continuing health issues. The Duke's grandson, Prince Harry, was one of the few family members who missed the memorial service and his absence is being debated globally. On a Sky News broadcast, veteran royal photographer Arthur Edwards slammed the Duke of Sussex for failing to travel to the UK for his grandpa Prince Philip's memorial service and called his absence "shameful."

Edwards added, “Prince Harry does nothing but sit there feeding his chickens in California.” He went on to say that Prince Harry should've “hopped” on an airplane to visit the memorial service. Edwards mentioned that Prince Harry "pay his respects to his grandfather whether he brings his wife or not doesn't matter. He should be here.” The veteran photographer further said, "Well, I think he'd be disappointed," of how Prince Philip might have felt about Harry's absence. “He was Harry's mentor…He should be walking in there. He should be sitting next to his father and the Queen and celebrate the life of this great man.”

The Duke's security fears for his family, which have led him to file a case against the Home Office, is considered the reason for Prince Harry's absence. "The security here is tremendous, I can't tell you," Edwards said, referring to the reason as an "excuse." Piers Morgan also echoed Edwards' words by adding, “Imagine missing your mentor grandfather's memorial service because you're such a spoiled brat you'd rather sulk in your Californian mansion than be there to support your grandmother?”

Speaking of Harry’s actions, many people have supported him via tweets. One user wrote, “Sooo the British press are annoyed that Prince Harry didn’t attend his grandfathers memorial - in England - but they basically bullied him out of the country they’re now mad at him for not coming back to. Make it make sense.” while another said, “Hope dis photographer realizes dat taking pictures of a royal family don't make him royal...  Harry is the only blood sibling to the future King Don't waste our time 😣” Another user trolled Edwards by posting, “'P0rn0 Edwards gone from begging to bitter...😬 #TearsOfAClown”

One user wrote about Harry’s social security saying, “He would but they took away his security.  He doesn’t feel safe. It’s negative words like these that make it dangerous for him. Just leave him alone.  Why must they always make Harry a target?” Another user stated, “Of course they "slam Prince Harry". That's all they do and that's why he and Meghan, his wife, aren't there.” while this one person wrote, “Sounds like the only reason they did this memorial service was to lure Harry back to the UK. They are all so pissed that their plan didn't work. It's too funny!”
