Prince Harry was slammed on Saturday, March 12, 2022, for snubbing Queen Elizabeth II by declaring he will miss her late husband's memorial ceremony. The backlash came after he posted a video advertising the Invictus Games only hours after confirming his absence from Prince Philip's memorial service. Viewers were upset about the apparent insensitivity.

Prince Harry, who has always been well-known for making headlines, once again topped the news with his latest controversy. While the Prince will not be in Westminster Abbey on March 29, his spokesperson said he would be in The Hague from April 16 to attend a sports tournament for wounded soldiers and women. Prince Harry posted a video of himself learning Dutch ahead of the games before pulling off his hooded top and revealing an all-orange shirt.

Harry’s video shows…

In the video, Harry is seen assuring his crew that he “really wants to get this right” as he asks them how to utter various Dutch words at his $14 million California property. He puts on orange sunglasses and a cap after learning a few phrases and tears off his hoodie to show an orange t-shirt underneath. He then tells his Invictus teammates that he is ready for the games by pointing down into the camera.

How are the viewers reacting?

Soon after, Twitter was awash with opinions, with people arguing whether the Prince was in the right this time. While one user said, “So undignified, what has happened to the Prince we all loved 😢”, another user wrote, “He looks good in orange. Not normally a fan of his but he is obviously dedicated to this charity which is awesome. I think it's sweet.” Another user wrote, “The only person who whines and gripes more about being hard done by than Harry is tRump. Coincidentally they both come from privilege and are spoilt brats. Also, coincidentally they are both orange.” One tweet read, "Do you understand why they’re going crazy over Prince Harry Because he bring it the man is funny man heart I see this one coming not in 1 million years 🤩🤗😂🌞#InvictusGame #Orange it’s a royal holiday in Amsterdam #Netherlands #PrinceHarry funny as 💯❤️💯❤️" What are your thoughts?
