In August 1986, the body of 18-year-old Jennifer Levin was found by a cyclist in Central Park near Fifth Avenue and 83rd Street behind the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her corpse was half-naked, covered in dust and bite marks, with the clothing from her upper body pushed up around her neck and her skirt around her waist. According to the autopsy, she had been strangled. Police had noted numerous cuts and bruises on her neck, both from being strangulated and from her own fingernails as she clawed at the killer's hands. Her underwear was found roughly 50 yards away.

The police soon interrogated the man she was seeing: Robert Chambers, who had numerous scratches on his arms and face. He first blamed the scratches on the cat. While he insisted that he and Levin separated after leaving a bar, he later claimed she died during an aggressive sexual encounter in the park.

Chambers and his murder is the subject of a new special from Reelz titled 'Preppy Killer: My Friend The Murderer' which will air in January 2021. Read on to know more details about the special.

Chambers famously got a token punishment since he was a super-attractive nobility from the Upper East Side. In any case, Chambers wasn’t the preppy Altar Boy that the media depicted him to be. Socialite and companion, Margo Manhattan, gives the genuine story on who Robert Chambers was – the clouded side. Also, Margo uncovers her at never before seen pictures of Chambers in secondary school.
