'Power' Season 6 Episode 2: Ghost finds out he is in way over his head, just like Tommy

Season 6 of 'Power' is bittersweet for us fans, who are enjoying every second of it knowing that this journey is coming to a close soon. The end will obviously be with the people who have been with us ever since we started watching the show - Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora).

The plot for this course was set in season 5 finale when Tommy decided to get revenge on Ghost, for manipulating him into killing his own father. Unfortunately for him, the love of Ghost's life Angela (Lela Loren) decided to prove her undying love in that very moment and jumped in front of him. The bullet may have missed Ghost but he certainly wants to avenge Angela's death.

This intention drove him to kill a man he assumed was Tommy. Unbeknownst to him, Tommy still breathes and is trying his best to keep it that way. In the upcoming episode, we see him asking his associates to hush up about the fact that he is alive, even as Jason (Mike Dupod) decides to meddle.

He tells Ghost that Tommy's "death" was a big hit to his organization and that he was in over his head. He also warns Ghost that he is in over his head too, and might face the same fate.

We definitely see that he is overwhelmed by everything that is happening around him, with his son's lack of cooperation and his wife's intent to take half of everything from him. He has made mistakes in the past but he had hoped Tommy's killing would wipe the slate clean for him, but is slowly learning that there is no retirement plan for drug lords.

His two options are - death or jail. We see him truly come to terms with this realization in the coming episodes. “Ghost realizes there’s no ‘old folks home’ for the drug business,” as 50 Cent, the producer of the show, told Complex, “It’s either jail or death, and this whole time he’s been looking for a way out of it.”

How will Ghost cope with this realization? Is Tommy planning to end Ghost once and for all? How will Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) come out in all this? Does he take over as Ghost's successor after his time? Find out when the story continues with season 6 episode 2 of 'Power' which airs on Sunday, September 1.
