The former president, Barack Obama, has not withheld his musical passions before and this year is no different as he has shared a list of his favorite songs for 2019.

Obama usually shares a few lists such as this, including his favorite books and movies, and it has become an annual tradition. He has many a time shown us not only his musical tastes and interests but his talents as well, as he has been on camera singing quite a few times. In 2012, The Reverend Al Green attended one of Obama's speeches and he decided to pay tribute to the soul legend by singing a bit from ‘Let’s Stay Together’. Perhaps one of Obama's greatest performances came when he gave his rendition on 'Amazing Grace' in June 2015, sometimes regarded as rather a difficult one to pull off, considering it has been done many times before by multiple artists and performers.

With the former POTUS including a little more variation, the 2019 list features hip-hop, R&B, soul, country and more.

Obama tweeted yesterday, "From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick."

The list below includes songs that were part of the former POTUS' summer playlist.
