Pink shares video of daughter Willow singing 'The Rose Song' at first recital
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pink expressed her pride in her daughter Willow Sage in an Instagram video she posted last month of her mini-me performing on stage at her first recital. The 43-year-old Grammy winner raved in the caption on the video that her 11-year-old had "nailed" the Olivia Rodrigo cover after filming the entire performance.
Shortly before the performance began, the opening of the clip showed Pink's daughter standing on stage with bright lights pointed in her way. Following the introduction of her name, Willow informed the audience that she would be "performing 'The Rose Song' by Olivia Rodrigo," to enthusiastic applause. As she began to sing the emotional words of the popular song from Disney's 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series', her voice soon reverberated throughout the entire audience.

The aspiring singer suited up for the event and wore a sophisticated black outfit with matching heels while her mother encouraged her from the audience. The 'Just Like Fire' singer stated, "This 11 year old (11,000 year old soul) blows me away," in the caption of the video. She also included the words: "So proud of this girl (first recital nailed it)." Social media users and other celebrities quickly left nice comments on Pink's video and praised Willow's talent. Olivia Rodrigo said, "I'm crying!!!!!" in response to her excitement about the impeccable cover. "What a unique girl." The 'This Is Us' actress and singer Mandy Moore wrote, "Holy cow!!! What a voice! what composure. Superstar." "You must be so ridiculously proud," Jeremy Renner wrote in a comment just before his horrific snow plow accident over the holidays.
The 'Just Give Me A Reason' singer has encouraged Willow as she pursues her goals, and the mother-daughter team is notable for having produced a duet titled 'Cover Me In Sunshine' in 2021. In 2021, Pink posted on Instagram to share the news of the song's release, writing in the caption, "'Cover Me In Sunshine' with my baby girl is out now!! Hope this one puts a smile on your face." Later that year, Willow joined her mother on stage for their 'Cover Me In Sunshine' performance at the Billboard Music Awards, where they both performed acrobatics in the air.
Willow enjoys performing on stage as much as in the studio, and she has appeared in a variety of musicals. In an endearing tribute post on his social media to his daughter in August of last year, her father, Carey Hart, gushed about how proud he was of his daughter. "I’m so proud of the lil woman that willow is becoming!!!! She has been bitten by the theater bug, and she is killing it!!!" he wrote, explaining that she had done two musicals the previous summer, including 'Grease' and 'High School Musical'.
"It seriously rattled me when seeing her on the stage and how she is getting older. I love you munchin, and so proud of you," he lovingly concluded. The motocross racer also sent a message to his daughter last year on her birthday. The caption read, "You have taught me to love in ways I didn’t know was possible. You gave me the gift of being a father, and I thank you for that!" Pink and Carey tied the knot in 2006, and have two children together; Willow and their six-year-old son, Jameson.
