'The pictures say so much': Internet in awe as Mandy Moore shares intimate photos of son Oscar's birth
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mandy Moore had her second son last month and named him Oscar- and a month later, she’s being lauded for posting some very intimate photos of the birthing experience! It seems to be a year of new beginnings for Moore, who signed a new TV series after the end of her critically acclaimed stint on the show ‘This Is Us’ and now with her newborn son- and she’s certainly making the most of it!
In the photos, Moore is seen crying in joy as she holds her newborn son Oscar, who is still covered in amniotic fluid from birth. In the other photos, she’s also seen posing with the staff who helped her with the birth while she held her sleeping son soundly in her arms. Page Six reports that fans have praised the ‘Candy’ singer for posting such raw images.

In the post, Moore says, “One month with our Ozzie. I’m still able to access everything about that moment, which simultaneously feels like one second ago and also unimaginable to fathom life before. Thank you, Dr. Waldman, our rockstar L&D nurse, Athena, and our doula (and photographer) @rebeccacoursey_photosandfilm for holding space and allowing for such a transcendent birth experience. Baby boy came into this world to the soundtrack of Willie Nelson’s “Stardust”. Good choice, sir!”
Moore has been praised by many fans in the comments for the pictures that she posted. One of the commenters said, “The experience is hard to put in words. You also try to imagine another child in the family...then they are born and you can't imagine your family with out them. The pictures say so much. Moore is married to Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith and now shares two sons with him. For the birth announcement of the newest addition to the family, Moore had posted a picture with the caption, “Ozzie is here! Oscar Bennett Goldsmith arrived a little late but with much aplomb (and an easier/speedier delivery than his big brother, much to the delight of his parents). Every adage is true: our hearts have doubled in size and the immediacy of the love is astounding. He is beyond words and we are so grateful for our family of four!”
