Golfer-turned-influencer Paige Spiranac has been trolled online for making fun of Patrick Mahomes’ fiancée and brother after the Chiefs’ 27-24 loss to the Bengals in the AFC Championship game. In her tweet, the 28-year-old seemingly not just shaded Mahomes, but also his inner-circle that includes Brittany Matthews and Jackson Mahomes – the quarterback’s fiancée, and younger brother, respectively.

Spiranac tweeted: “Patrick Mahomes is down bad. Imagine losing today and then having to go home to Jackson and Brittany making TikToks.” Patrick and Brittany have been together since their high school days. Recently, Brittany found herself engulfed in controversy after she threw champagne into the crowd from her suite at Arrowhead Stadium. She also shared the video of the act on her Twitter page that attracted over 400k views.

On the other hand, Patrick’s brother Jackson has been constantly embroiled in different dramas over the past season. In December 2021, he was accused by a Kansas City bar of trying to “crush” it while behaving entitled. SoT cocktail bar wrote on social media at the time while tagging Jackson: “We are sorry that we set boundaries that you tried to ignore. Often times people with un-earned status and a sense of entitlement think they are above the rules and will lash out at the employee enforcing them. We are sorry we could not seat your very large group. As you probably saw, our bar is very small.”

The post added: “We are sorry that you have the reach that you do, or at least that you think you do and that instead of using it for something positive you decided to use it to try and crush a small business. We survived a global pandemic, we’ll survive your ego.”

Meanwhile, Spiranac’s tweet was not taken well by many online as a user commented, “Be better. Don’t feed these trolls that just pile onto this terrible take about Mahomes’ family. You know 0 about them. As a person that gets hate for your looks or actions (unwarranted), you would think that you might think twice about doing the same to others?” The second user tweeted, “Wow, low blow Paige. Surprising since you're always talking about how people are mean to you on social media.  Thought you might understand her situation a bit.” “Promise, we in #ChiefsKingdom aren't big fans of @brittanylynne8 or @jacksonmahomes . Not super hyped on @PatrickMahomes either but at least he secures his own bag,” the third one added.

A person wrote “Did not expect you of all people to hop on the cyber bully train.” Another one asked, “Why bag on his family?” “Cringe worthy!!” a tweet read.

Spiranac, a fan of Pittsburgh Steelers, also seemed to be supporting Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, whose old picture she shared on Twitter. That photo also attracted a lot of comments with one saying, “That’s that look Joe’s gonna give Eli Apple in the locker room when he cuts him from the team.” Another one said, “2 weeks from now, everything will be back to normal. They will lose terribly and be the SUPER bungles!!!!” The third one tweeted: “This is the single most embarrassing thing I’ve ever seen a Steelers fan post.”
