Brittany Matthews: Patrick Mahomes' fiancee slammed for spraying champagne on Chiefs fans in video
In honor of Chiefs' victory on January 24, Patrick Mahomes' fiancee sprayed champagne on fans. Brittany Matthews was slammed for her behavior as she poured champagne as the temperature stood at a freezing 37 degrees.
In the video she shared on her Instagram, the fitness entreprenuer is seen excitedly shaking the champagne bottle and as she opened it, she sprayed it on the crowd that was watching the match right under her suite at the Arrowhead Room of the stadium.

On Sunday, 23 January, The Kansas City Chiefs won against the Buffalo Bills in AFC's divisional round. The score was a thrilling 42-36. Matthews was seen jumping and dancing for her fiance Mahomes.
After she posted the video on Instagram, the comments said, "That’s what everyone wanted. Someone pouring champagne down on them from their heated box lol" Another said, "I would be slightly aggravated if I had champagne rain down on me though 😅" Similar comments read, "Omg I would be so mad if someone sprayed champagne all over me" Another said, "I don't drink so smelling like alcohol would tick me off. In glad they are so happy it makes me happy but dang that first pour probably felt like a full glass on someone's head 😂😬".
On her Twitter she shared a tweet saying, "NEVER DOUBT US".
She received tons of hateful comments. One of them was, "What’s this “us” stuff. Girl you didn’t play". However, one fan said, "Cuz she’s a fan and fans ARE part of the team."
Another pointed out how Matthews did not complain about the match running overtime this time. They said, "Odd you’re not complaining about OT rules this time. Interesting!" Another user spoke about her champagne spraying and said, "You literally sprayed champagne on people in colder temperatures who probably didn’t even ask for that and who knows if kids were even in that area…."

Matthews and Mahomes have been engaged since September 2020 and have an 11-month old baby girl named Sterling Skye Mahomes.
