LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Oscars 2023 is set for its 95th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 12. The Academy Awards this year is breaking its 62-year-old prestigious tradition after Hollywood's A-lister glitterati's appeared to be walking a champagne-colored carpet during the glamorous night.

Previously Oscar sources confirmed the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was planning to ditch the "Oscars so white scandal" and was going to bring something new to the table, little did everyone know... they meant the carpet! However, this change was not so much appreciated by the armchair internet trolls who have slammed the Oscars for replacing its classic red carpet with a champagne-colored carpet, simply calling the move "horrendous."

'Beige is the cheapest, most crappy color'

The biggest critics of all, netizens have savagely mocked the Academy Awards' cringy carpet look, from its colors to the budget, trolls have definitely taken over the carpet through Twitter. One user on Twitter wrote, "The carpet color is horrendous. Truly awful." Another user seconded that and wrote, "Must not have had the budget. Beige is the cheapest, most crappy color there is." A third mocked the infamous Oscars white scandal saying, "It does look more white now."

'Sumbody fitna loose their job!'

A fourth tweeted, "Maybe the red carpet just faded." A fifth user chimed, "Who cares!" "And it looks… not great," a tweet read. "Good grief," a disappointed user simply wrote. "I guess that change up is gonna distract everyone from the bank failures. What a relief," claimed a Twitter user. Another user jokingly wrote about the organizers of the event, "Sumbody fitna loose their job." A user wrote slamming the champagne-colored carpet as "Garbage."
