Oscars 2023: Colin Farrell makes dapper appearance with 13-year-old son Henry in matching tuxedos
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Colin Farrell came in for the biggest awards night of the year with his teenage son and they made for a cute sight! ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ actor had looked absolutely dapper in his tuxedo while happily posing and having fun with his son Henry Tadeusz Farrell, 13, who showed in a matching tux on the champagne carpet! Henry is Colin's son by ex-partner Alicja Bachleda-Curus, whom he had met on the sets of ‘Ondine’ Their relationship ended in 2010. He is Colin's youngest child, with whom he shared some heart-warmingly cute moments on the champagne-colored carpet.
Both lads wore crisp white shirts with black buttons, and touched it off with dickie bow ties. Their shirts had black buttons instead of the usual white, adding some zing to their looks. The duo paired their shirts with black trousers and shiny dress shoes, making them two of the most handsome men to show up for Hollywood’s big night. Daily Mail reported that Colin, who is Irish, showed off his patriotism by adding a pin badge of Ireland’s tricolour flag on the lapel, which sat close to his heart. This is Colin's first Oscar nod for his portrayal of Padraic Suilleabhain, which he received for the award season's favorite movie, which also stars Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan.

While Colin is a two-time Golden Globe recipient, this is his first nomination at the Academy Awards despite already being a known face for his quality body of work. He went up against Austin Butler who got his first nod too for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in ‘Elvis’, fellow compatriot Paul Mescal for ‘Aftersun’, Brendan Fraser for ‘The Whale’ and Bill Nighy for ‘Living’. Fan favorite Fraser eventually ended up bagging the award.
Colin Farrell’s ‘co-star’ makes a surprise appearance
While Colin's co-star Barry Keoghan was present for his nomination for ‘Best Supporting Actor’, it was another one of the movie’s cast that grabbed eyeballs. Jenny the Donkey, who played Colin's sidekick in the movie. "Not only is Jenny an actress, she's a certified emotional support donkey, or at least, that's what we told the airline to get her on the plane from Ireland,” Jimmy Kimmel, the host of the night had said about her.
"Jenny, I want you to see that your friend Colin is right there, and there's your friend Brendon, whose finger you ate. Do you want to say thank you?" Kimmel said, prompting Colin to blow a kiss for Jenny, which subsequently prompted a memefest on Twitter.
