Why did Morgan Freeman wear a glove on one hand?

Freeman sustained injuries following numerous car flips on a Mississippi highway in 2008. Unfortunately, despite promises from doctors that it would get better by 2011, the actor's left hand is still immobile as a result of the serious nerve damage he sustained in the 2008 accident. He must wear a compression glove to keep the blood flowing, reports Daily Mail.

'I can't move it'

The 'Dark Knight Rises' actor was able to maintain his cool demeanor when discussing the injury shortly after the collision. "I suffered nerve damage and it hasn't gotten better. I can't move it," he stated at the time, adding, "If you don't move your hand, it will swell up. Do you know you move your hand about a million times a day?"

'Earth is the tent we all live in'

Freeman attended the World Cup opening ceremony on November 20, 2022, when Qatar played Ecuador despite having a hand issue. He appeared there with Ghanim Al Muftah, a legless YouTuber from Qatar, and delivered a remarkable speech. "We gather here as one big tribe and Earth is the tent we all live in," he stated, adding, "What unites us here is so much greater than what divides us. How can we make it last longer?" reports Marca.

'Warner Brothers' 100th anniversary'

Two of the biggest companies in the entertainment industry, Disney and Warner Brothers, were honored for reaching a century in business at the 2023 Oscars ceremony on Sunday night. Freeman and Robbie introduced the tribute to Warner Brothers' 100th anniversary, which included a video montage of key films from the studio's history, including 'A Streetcar Named Desire', 'The Matrix', 'The Dark Knight', 'The Shining', 'Wonder Woman', 'Harry Potter', and 'A Star Is Born', as well as a sneak peek at the upcoming 'Barbie', per Hollywood Reporter.
