Oscars 2020: How to catch a LIVE telecast of the award ceremony on your TV or on the internet?

As the clock ticks for the 92nd Academy Awards, here's where you can catch all the fun on February 9

It's time for the 2020 Oscars! 'Joker' leads the nominations with 11 nods and there will be plenty of star power at the ceremony's second straight year go without a host.

As the clock ticks for the 92nd Academy Awards, here's where you can catch all the fun from its live telecast on Sunday, February 9 at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles. The exclusive red carpet coverage begins at 6:30 ET | 3:30 PT, followed by the awards ceremony at 8:00 ET | 5:00 PT.

Live Telecast

Tune in to ABC on your television or live stream the Oscars at abc.com or the ABC app by signing in with a participating TV provider. Once you have signed in, watch at abc.com/watch-live or select ‘live TV’ in the ABC app. But remember, this works, only if you live in Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham or San Francisco.

If you live in the UK, you can watch the Oscars 2020 on Sky Cinema. Red carpet coverage will begin at 10:00 pm UK time and the ceremony will start at 1:00 am UK time. You can access it with a Sky Cinema Pass with NOW TV. 

In India, the 2020 Oscars will be broadcast live Monday, February 10 at 6:30 am IST on Star Movies and Star Movies Select HD. 

TV Subscriptions and Streamers

If you have a DirecTV subscription, a Comcast Xfinity subscription, an AT&T TV NOW subscription, YouTube TV and Hulu, you will also be able to watch the ABC live stream. However, it is available only for select locations. You must be located within each available station's local viewing area and must verify your participating TV provider account for access to the ABC live stream. 

You can also tune into Hotstar — the Star India-run streaming service, soon to be renamed Disney+ Hotstar — to follow the 2020 Oscars live.

Good News for Singapore

For the first time in a decade, Singapore audience will get to enjoy the Oscars live on a free-to-air channel. The Academy Awards will be telecast live on Mediacorp Channel 5. Viewers can witness the live action from the 92nd edition of the awards at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on February 10, thanks to a collaboration between Mediacorp and Disney. The red carpet action will be telecast live from 7.30 am to 9 am and the main event will begin from 9 am.

Singapore viewers can also catch the show live via Mediacorp’s digital video destination meWATCH.

Repeat Telecast

After the broadcast, the Oscars will be available on demand at abc.com or the ABC app to viewers within the US who are signed in with a participating TV provider until February 17, 2020. After February 17, no sign-in is required.

On Mediacorp Channel 5, there will be a repeat telecast of the Oscars ceremony at 6 pm on the same day and another telecast at 10.45 pm later in the day.
