'Orange Is The New Black' star Yael Stone welcomes baby girl with boyfriend Jack Manning
‘OITNB’ fans rejoice because there's a new addition to the clan! Congratulations are in order for the show's star Yael Stone and her boyfriend Jack Manning Bancroft because just welcomed their baby girl.
“On May 30th Pemau Stone Bancroft was born to Yael Stone and Jack Manning Bancroft,” shared a rep for the actress, with Us Weekly. “Her mum and dad are very tired and very much in love. She was named after her great great great grandmother who provides a powerful link to the past, the Bancroft’s oldest link to the Djanbun clan of the Bunjalung nation.”
Stone is most popular for playing the role of Lorna Morello on the Netflix original show. Her boyfriend, Bancroft, happens to be the CEO of global mentoring organization AIME. The two began dating back in 2017, and right in November of the same year, the actress announced that the couple was expecting their first child.
She has also been documenting her pregnancy journey via her social media, one of the recent ones being that of her showing off her baby bump in an Instagram photo posted on May 18. Rolling up her tee shirt that says "phenomenal woman" in the photo, Stone captioned it, “Moving into the final stages of this incredible journey with respect and gratitude for the women who have come before me. #phenomenalwoman. Photo by the one and only @alexvaughanphoto.”
Later again on May 28, Stone — who is also an activist — decided to share a photo of her ready to pop bump, alongside a message on domestic violence indulging in an attempt to raise awareness on the issue.
"Violence in the home is a deeply complicated issue. Statistics are compromised by the very private and often secretive nature of abuse and violence that happens behind closed doors," Stone wrote in the caption of the photo.
"Psychological and physical violence impacts the whole family and can be steeped in issues of shame, inadequacy and past trauma. Whatever the gender, whatever the family structure healing is critical for everyone.
Stone was also seen flaunting her baby bump at the Screen Actors Guild Awards back in January. Wearing a white and yellow empire waist dress, the then soon to be expecting mother seemed to be glowing. She also took a photo with her 'Orange is The New Black' co-star, Taylor Schilling, who decided to place a hand on Stone's bump for the snap.
Stone later shared the photo on her Instagram, and captioned it, "The Fancy Preggo finds a pal to also hold the belly and confirm 'Yes, it's true, it's a baby.'"
