No more Litchfield! Netflix moves Orange is the New Black's resident inmates to a new prison in S06

It's been over a year since the last season of OITNB wrapped up on Netflix, the time when Piper and Alex got engaged and some of their fellow inmates raised a riot in Litchfield.

Beware, changes are coming!

If there's one Netflix show that knows how to toy with emotions and keep its fans on their toes, forever speculating about the next new drama that is about to unfold in the Litchfield Penitentiary, it is the prison drama 'Orange is the New Black'.

It's been over a year since the last season of OITNB wrapped up on Netflix, the time when Piper and Alex got engaged and some of their fellow inmates raised a riot in the corridors of Litchfield. There was no word about the future of these women or what follows after the violent course of action in season 5 of the Jenji Kohan-created series, until recently.

On Wednesday, Netflix dropped some brand new information about the upcoming sixth season, in the form of snapshots of the location where 'Orange is the New Black' is moving to this July. And if the pictures are any indication, it seems like Kohan is done with Litchfield for good.

"Litch is no more! Check out the new prison #OITNB S6 takes place in," read the description shared alongside a batch of new images offering a glimpse of the high-security facility, where some of the women of Litchfield might be shifted to in season 6.

However, the name of this new prison is yet to be disclosed or the degree of security, with the pictures only confirming our worst nightmares for these ladies. The glimpse of the common shower doesn't look like it's a comfortable place, neither do the cells that are marked as "A1", "A2". If anything, fans should prepare themselves for some grueling times, moving ahead in the show.

As fans would remember, the last season didn't end on a bright note for the Litchfield residents. While the newly-engaged stood by each other's side, their fellow inmates, including Red, Nicky, Gloria, Taystee, Cindy, Suzanne, Blanca and Freida, waited for the prison guards to take over after a protest-gone-wrong riot.

In the meantime, another bunch of inmates was packed into buses to be sent off to another facility - perhaps the new prison teased in the pictures?

Orange Is the New Black season 6 premieres on Netflix on Friday, July 27.
