It's only June and there's still a long time to go with a mega movie event in the pipeline — aka the much-anticipated, annual San Diego Comic Con — and yet the buzz is all about October.

Sometime later this year, the New York Comic Con will be underway and this time around the event will hold special significance for fans of the Starz series 'Outlander'. The time-travel drama, which has amassed a loyal fan-following since the very first season, is all set to make its NYCC debut this year, the network announced on Tuesday.

And when that happens, expect some of your favorite stars including leading pair Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, along with Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin to be present for the premiere event. The cast members will be attending the coveted event — marking the show's first-ever series appearance — in New York City on Saturday, October 6.

At present, 'Outlander' is filming the fourth season in Scotland, which will include 13 episodes based on 'Drums of Autumn', the fourth out of the eight book-series by author Diana Gabaldon. Once again the romantic adventures of Claire (Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Heughan) would be at the front and center of all action in season 4. which is set to premiere this November 2018 on Starz.

When the season concludes though, fans need not fret as Starz has already renewed 'Outlander' for two more seasons, taking the series through its sixth season.

Executive produced by Ronald D Moore, Maril Davis, Toni Graphia, Matthew B Roberts and Andy Harries, the fantasy romance is inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s eight-book Outlander series that has sold an estimated 30 million copies worldwide.

The Outlander series has itself become a worldwide success with audiences, spanning the genres of history, science fiction, romance and adventure in one amazing tale.
