LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The most recent biographical series on Netflix, 'Supersex', which is created by Francesca Manieri, has left viewers underwhelmed due to its sexual content.

Given that the show is based on the life of Italian pornographic film actor Rocco Siffredi, who has over a thousand performing credits in the adult film industry, the addition of graphic content in the series was expected.

The series also pulls punches with its emotional sequences as it traces Siffredi's journey from his early years to his successful career in the adult industry.

Fans on social media are not thrilled with 'Supersex'

Many viewers are criticizing the seven-part series for having over-the-top sexual content. Some have noted that it is inappropriate since youngsters also use the streaming platform and have expressed their displeasure on X.

Speaking up against the show's content, a social media user stated, "Netflix WTF with your supersex promo? We have teens on here. Seriously dumb." Another berated the series, saying, "Jeez Supersex was a bit full on. I’ll leave it at that. Terrible too Netflix." "I'm watching Supersex and idk I’m uncomfortable I don’t like his movies," a third remarked.

Fans also blasted Netflix on Instagram after they posted an explicit preview of the series.

Instagram users chastised the streaming site for displaying sexually explicit visuals on its platform, which is popular among youngsters.

An agitated user said, "What the hell. Isn’t this inappropriate for a platform where KIDS FOLLOW YOU?!" While another stated, "So many good shows have been cancelled for you to make this."

A different user questioned Netflix's decision to produce the show and said, "So rather than making quality shows you're just making porn? Greenlight the Six of Crows spinoff and save Shadow and Bone." "Not cool Netflix, no need," simply said another Internet user.

An enraged IG user commented, "This isn’t it @netflix We expect better censored advertisements from you, we can’t avoid all the bs on IG. But we expect better, especially because you have minors, imagine they pull this around a teacher and this accidentally pops out. It would be a quick way to get in trouble. Please be mindful. Seems a bit airheaded to make a mistake like this in your part. Keep the ads within adults channels/adult Netflix or YouTube (which is better) rather than IG."

"Now we have porn on netflix as well? Cancelling account while we speak, my kids can't see this," commented another user.

What is the plot of 'Supersex?'

The show centers around Rocco Siffredi (Alessandro Borghi). It begins with Rocco's childhood in Ortona, Italy, wherein he deals with many challenges and learns intriguing things due to the chaos of his family life.

Manieri also sheds light on his ever-changing relationship with his half-brother and mentor, Tomasso. The way he dealt with his grief during his mother's medical battle and subsequent death also finds a big space in 'Supersex'.

His journey from Ortona to Paris, where he meets French porn actor and director Gabriel Pontello due to his frequent visits to different sex clubs, keeps audiences glued to their screens, for more than one reason.

'Supersex' is now streaming on Netflix
