Spoilers for 'NOS4A2' Season 1

Season 1 of 'NOS4A2' followed an immortal named Charlie Manx who survives and keeps his youth non-perishable by feeding off the souls of children leaving what's left of them in Christmas land. The land had been spun out of Manx's own imagination and in that reality, every day is Christmas Day, and unhappiness isn't legal. Of course, after having crossed paths with a woman named Vic McQueen, Manx had to work to make sure he could feed off souls as all McQueen wants is Manx dead.

We also found out that McQueen had a dangerous and supernatural ability to track Manx and was the only one to escape from Manx when she was a child. The second season of the series is set to pick up eight years after the events of Season 1 where we are to see the battle between Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) and Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto) still on because Manx isn't dead.

It was reported that Season 2 will also bring a new plotline showing Manx set his sights on a new victim, Wayne, McQueen's son, so we expect to see how McQueen falls prey to Manx after all. In the season premiere, titled 'Bad Mother' we are to see how McQueen finds out that Charlie Manx is alive after she hears her son Wayne utter his name claiming to have seen him on TV.

We would expect McQueen to immediately find out where Manx is and why her son knew of the evil his mother had thought she had killed last season. The synopsis also reveals that Millie Manx, Manx's daughter, finds out more of the twisted Christmasland her father has set up. We're speculating a better understanding of Christmasland as McQueen seeks to destroy it and rescue Manx's victims.

The series is based on the  2013 novel of the same name by Joe Hill, son of Stephen King, and has picked up a huge fan base. We're expecting the premiere to start off with an expected bang of Manx being alive while we're also hoping the new narrative of Wayne is introduced quickly in the premiere hour. The official synopsis reads, "Eight years on, Vic McQueen receives shocking news about Charlie Manx; Maggie consults her tiles at great risk; Bing hunts down the Wraith, but hits a roadblock; Millie Manx discovers a new aspect of Christmasland."

'NOS4A2' Season 2 premieres on June 21 at 10/9c on AMC. Watch the Season 2 trailer below.
