Los-Angeles based stylist Nikki Cortez, known for working with celebrities like Chloe and Halley Bailey, has reportedly died at a young age. Her death was mourned in a heartbreaking post by Halle Bailey, as well as her sister Chloe. In her Instagram story, Halle posted an angelic photo of Cortez and wrote, "You were an angel here on this earth. You were such a special being and always the brightest light in the room. When you dressed me, you made me feel so happy and inspired me to be confident and secure in myself. Thank you for everything, will love you forever. @nikkixcortez rest in power."

While Nikki Cortez's exact age is not certain, she was believed to be in her early to mid-30s. Aside from musicians Chloe and Halle, the celebrity stylist had also worked with Mariama Diallo, Amanda Freezer, Vanessa Payton, Sabrina, and many others. She was considered among the most promising celebrity stylists and was popular on social media among the youth. In fact, she had a sizeable following of 10,300 people on her Instagram page.

Cortez passed away recently but the exact date or time of her death is yet to be revealed. Her last post on Instagram happens to be from a week before, dated December 2, 2021. The exact cause of her death is also not certain as different reports are making contrasting claims about the same. 

While a few latest reports have claimed that the stylist had underlying health complications which ultimately turned lethal as her body stopped responding to the treatment. However, other sources are claiming that Cortez was killed in a pedestrian collision on the Pacific Coast Highway and reportedly died at the scene. 

Artist Joekay wrote an elaborate tribute to Nikki Cortez after the news of her death was confirmed by insider sources. "Nikki, you will be missed by all of us. thank you for always being a great friend, for being supportive, for being selfless, and for just being you! this last post of yours shows how proud of your work you were. half your feed is you showcasing your clients & your gift of life. I got the news suddenly last night and it didn’t feel real. i still can’t believe it. Thank you for being you all these years. 562’s illest! Rest easy 🕊 ," Joekay mourned. 

Model Ally Courtnall wrote, "Rest easy beautiful ❤️ i admired your work so much. You seemed like the most beautiful soul! Sending my love to your loved ones 💔"

Photographer and stylist Moods&Feels noted, "Losing young talent before they get a chance to truly soar is so heartbreaking. Rest in peace to fashion stylist Nikki Cortez."
