LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There seems to be at least one person who is happy at the cancellation of Jada Pinkett Smith’s controversial talk show, ‘Red Table Talk’, and he is all but shy to share his happiness with the world! In the recent episode of his live radio show, ‘The Daily Cannon’, Nick Cannon spoke candidly about his happiness at the cancellation of the show, calling it “toxic”.

Referring to the infamous slap of Will Smith to the 2022 Oscar host, Chris Rock, the ‘Wild N' Out’ star said, "If there was no Red Table Talk, then he wouldn't have slapped the s--- out of Chris Rock.” The father of 12 children called the incident the "slap heard 'round the world" and called the eponymous table as “toxic table”. While his co-hosts Courtney Bee Bledsoe and Abby De La Rosa voiced their preference for the show, Cannon didn’t shy away from sharing his vitriolic comments.

Referring to Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s infamous marital talks about cheating with August Alsina, the ‘America’s Got Talent’ host further said, "That was royalty, Will and Jada. Then they brought it to the table," further adding his views about Will Smith’s repeated appearances, "I don't want to know all this s--- about y'all."

He also supported his “brother”, Will Smith by saying, "They made all them memes about my brother Will, they didn't need to do that," before adding, "I just want to mind my Black-owned business. I don't want to be up in everybody else's kitchen. Keep that s--- to y'all selves."

Why was ‘Red Table Talk’ famous?

Launched in 2018, ‘Red Table Talk’ was hosted by three generations of Smith family - remarkably, Jada’s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and her daughter Willow Smith. In the show, the women discussed various contemporary topics including politics and abuse. Some of the notable guests of the show included Tiffany Haddish, Will Smith, Snoop Dogg, Ashanti, and many others, reports 21Ninety

In the most recent episode of the show, which aired in December 2022, a 35th-anniversary reunion of the cast members of the show, 'A Different World', was hosted by Jada, who herself was a cast member.

However, the most interesting episode was when Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith sat down to have a candid chat about their marital problems and Jada's alleged romantic "entanglement" with one of their son Jaden Smith's friends, August Alsina, reports Toofab

Why was the ‘Red Table Talk’ canceled?

‘Red Table Talk’ was canceled following Meta (parent company of Facebook) shutting down its Facebook Watch original group, reports Cosmopolitan. Following the discontinuation, Jada posted on her social media, "We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disband. We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come," before adding about finding a "new home", "We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home and we'll see you soon."

'Nick you on point bro'

One social media user sided with him, saying, "He has a point. Jada loved to air all the family dirty laundry with no regards to how it would make them feel. She has 0 respect for Will and it shows." Another remarked, "So with him...That red table represented the devil..and #jadapinkettsmith had a weird habit of making circles with hands on the tabletop like it was a witch's cauldron..Pure evil.." "So, a dude physically assaults another guy in a clearly unhinged public spectacle, but according to Nick that’s…a woman’s fault. Yes, Nick, it is too bad men are so emotional and have absolutely zero control over their own lives or responses to situations. Poor things," wrote yet another.

One user slammed Cannon, saying, "Now watch soon his career will tank, I'd be quiet if I were him, he has way more to loose than most of us with all those kids." Another supported him, tweeting, "Nick you on point bro."
