It’s only been a month since ‘Ragnarok’ premiered on Netflix and managed to garner a huge fan following and appreciation. And within such a short span of time, Netflix has already given a green signal to the Norwegian original series for a season renewal for a fantasy drama series. In a recent report, the streaming network made an official announcement, which was then followed by social media updates from fans and followers.

The network has also revealed a teaser poster showcasing the lead characters, who survived the season finale battle.

One Twitter fan couldn't hold his excitement and comments, “I AM SCREAMING!!! THANK THE GODS #RagnarokNetflix IS GETTING A SEASON 2!!!!”
“#Ragnarok He got the Season 2 approval. #RagnarokNetflix #RagnarokNetflix SEASON 2 YEAAAAAHHHHH ”, says another.

Even the art depicted on the poster attracted highly positive reactions from fans across the board, making people look forward to the upcoming chapter of the story. Here’s a fan who hasn't been able to get over the promo poster. "Ragnarok has been renewed for Season 2!!! It's a win for us. (Thanks for the Fjor poster) #RagnarokNetflix"

The all-new promo look of the upcoming season features Magne Seier (David Stakston), Laurits Seier (Jonas Strand Gravli), Fjor Jutul (Herman Tømmeraas), and Saxa Jutul (Theresa Frostad Eggesbø).

When season one of the teenage fantasy-drama-thriller ended, it left us with a hook, strong enough for us to expect more of the story and making us lose sleep. Just like what this fan says, “You heard me! Season 2 is happening and I can finally sleep well again"

Perhaps so will we now, knowing that it is not the end. After all, the battle of the gods and the giants never end, do they?

Although Netflix has not put a date on the second season’s release, they did mention that we could expect the next installment, sometime in 2021.

Inspired by Norse mythology and taking a spin on iconic characters of Thor, Loki, Odin, and the giants, ‘Ragnarok’ explores the journey of brothers Magne and Laurits Seier, as they move to the small town of Edda, somewhere in remote Norway. The first season follows their fight for justice against the social giants and town’s elite and demonic Jutul family.

In season one finale, Magne fights the head of the family, Vidar. But we don’t know if both were killed or not. If they are alive, then the fight will continue in the next season. However, the other characters like Laurits (who is a spinoff of Loki), Fjor, and Saxa would most likely gain more prominence.

Stay tuned for more updates, information, and news on ‘Ragnarok: Season 2’ on Netflix.
