Why is 'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 6 Episode 10 not on CBS this week? Air date, winter finale spoilers and more
Much to our confusion and not-so-pleasant-surprise, 'NCIS: New Orleans' decided to stay off air tonight. Airing every Tuesday, tonight would have been the slot for Season 6, Episode 10, titled 'Requital', but instead, CBS decided to air Season 5 Episode 5, titled 'In the Blood'. But why the sudden change of plans? Well, we have the festive season to blame.
Looks like 'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 6 is taking a short Thanksgiving break ahead of its upcoming winter finale, which is slated to air two weeks from now on December 17. The small break is nothing unexpected from the 'NCIS' franchise, as they have already done the same earlier in this season itself. But random breaks aside, this is also the time when most network shows go on their mid-season break or winter hiatus, before returning sometime in the initial phases of the next year. This is also the time when TV ratings companies carry out their 'sweep breaks', tallying for TV ratings of shows individually, so the breaks make more sense now.
But worry not, 'NCIS: New Orleans' is not going to keep fans hanging for much longer in anticipation for its winter finale, 'Requital', which has been teased to be a festival themed episode right in time for Christmas and New Year. As of now, not much has been revealed about the upcoming mid-season finale, but sadly for fans, after the show goes on hiatus, it will be a two-month-long wait minimum for the Season 6 mid-season premiere, as the show does not return to CBS before February 2020.
So gear up, or take it easy and try to cope in the aftermath of losing our favorite agent Christopher LaSalle as the winter hiatus gets closer.
