Tonight’s episode of 'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 11 blessed us with a brand new character — CIA officer Veronica Stephens. The winter slash midseason premiere, Episode 10, has already hit it off with fans as they think Officer Stephens played by Dina Meyer is a decent enough replacement for our beloved Hetty.

According to the official synopsis of the episode titled 'Groundwork': “CIA Officer Veronica Stephens asks the NCIS team for help when an agricultural engineer Hetty asked her to bring to the United States disappears.”

Meyers' Veronica gets attacked before her morning jog when a guy comes at her with a syringe. She manages to fight him off but also drives to the NCIS office to meet with Hetty about the attack as she believes it is related to the favor CIA did to the NCIS.

It involved a missing undercover doctor and Veronica's ever intertwining work with the NCIS: LA team. And even though she gets the option to go off on her own accord, she chooses to stay behind and help the team solve the case. Whiffs of a budding chemistry between her and Callen weren't overlooked by fans either and that's pretty much how they came to the conclusion that if Hetty is actually looking for her own replacement, Veronica might be a very solid option.

Taking it to Twitter, they shared: "Keep @DinaMeyer she is a definite asset especially if Callen takes over Hetty's job, she would be great. Already has the experience as CIA and is very talented. Yes, she is one of my favorite female actors. Would love to see her/Callen together."

Another tweeted: "@DinaMeyer is one of my favorite actors ever! Would love for her to be a regular on #NCISLA. But really missed Hetty!" Summing it up for everyone else, a third fan noted: "@DinaMeyer is a keeper. So, keep her."

'NCIS: Los Angeles' airs on Sundays at 9pm only on CBS.
