This article contains spoilers for Season 11 Episode 11 'Answers'

In what was probably the most touching 'NCIS: Los Angeles' episode this season, the winter finale allowed a lot of space to address the several elephants in the room — both for fans, and the show's characters with one another.

We saw Callen evaluate his future in the team, Nell and Eric discuss the strains in their relationship, and of course — the biggest elephant ever — are Deeks and Kensi ready to have a baby?

Or have they "waited too long"? Of course, it was the winter finale so everything was a lot more extravagant than usual. However, they managed to tug our heartstrings because that honest, emotional conversation was everything Densi fans have been waiting for, ever since the two lovebirds tied the knot.

In tonight's winter finale, Episode 11 titled 'Answer', Deeks is clueless about why Kensi seems so lost, yet again. That is until he counts the dates and realizes she got her period that morning — meaning, it's the third month that they've been trying for a baby and she still isn't pregnant.

So it is confirmed; Deeks and Kensi are trying to get pregnant! Thrilling as the news might be, it is also a little scary to think that all this while they've been trying and still nothing.

We get Kensi's frustration, but trust Deeks to sweep right in with valid reassurance that everything is going to be okay. It doesn't help Kensi much at first, as she cries while being hugged by her husband.

She says "We're always used to technique and protocol and control, and I don't know how to do that with my body," and it is so hard to not bawl like a baby with her. But then she is the one to offer comfort to the always joking, goofy husband of hers and it becomes difficult to not respect the hell out of Kensi at that moment.

The two admit they aren't ready to consider adoption, and when he is insisted upon to reveal what he's feeling, Deeks opens up about being "scared to death" of almost everything regarding the scenario.

Things like health issues or the fact that he has "no blueprint" is what's haunting him, but Kensi isn't letting Deeks wallow in those terrifying thoughts.

Like the badass she is, she tells him: "This year, this day, the sun's going to be shining and we're just going to get pregnant. Now more than ever, in spite of all this we're talking about, I know that I want to have a baby with you. We're ready to have a baby."

So are we, Densi. Just give us that baby already! 'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 11 returns from its winter hiatus all the way in February 2020.
