On the previous episode of 'The Voice' knockouts round, fan-favorite contestant Ryan Gallagher left everybody spellbound with his beautiful performance to Andrea Bocelli's 'Time to Say Goodbye'. Unfortunately, nobody knew that it would be the talented singer's last performance on the show. The singer was competing against his fellow contestants Marisa Corvo, Larriah Jackson and Taryn Papa for a spot on the top 17 on the show.

After watching Ryan's beautiful performance, several fans were all set to vote for him as the winner. Everybody was in for a rude surprise when on the latest episode it was announced that Ryan had to exit the show. So, the votes cast for him wouldn't count, and the winner would be picked from amongst the remaining three contestants. The showrunners didn't reveal the reason behind Ryan's abrupt departure from the show, leaving fans extremely concerned for the singer and his family.

In earlier episodes, Ryan revealed that his mother had tested positive for Covid-19, and was undergoing treatment back home in Michigan. He seemed very stressed about the situation but still continued to give his best performances on the show. So, when fans heard about his exit from the show, they began wondering why he left the show, while also worrying about his family's and his health, and hoped that all was fine at his end.

A fan tweeted, "#VoiceTop17 So bummed that Ryan had to drop out of #TheVoice . He was a favorite this season. I sure hope he & his family are ok! (He had previously revealed he has family members with COVID)." Another fan wrote, ".@kellyclarkson #VoiceTop17 I hope Ryan Gallagher is ok. Last week he mentioned family with COVID-19. I am from his home town and was having a watch party. Please let us know on the show that Ryan is OK a lot of us remember the Covid scare."

Fans also began demanding for a proper explanation for Ryan's exit and declared that nobody could "surpass" him on the show. ".@kellyclarkson #VoiceTop17 I think we deserve an explanation as to what happened to Ryan. Thanks," expressed a fan. Another fan shared, "Wait #TheVoice Ryan isn't in the competition anymore?!?! He was my boy and I can't replace him on my team." "Honestly, Ryan was my guy for this season, so really don't care who is left, no one surpassed him #thevoice," commented a disappointed fan.
