Nas ‘King’s Disease II’: Release date, how to stream and all about rapper’s 13th album

Hip-hop icon Nas won his career’s very first Grammy for his 12th studio album called ‘King’s Disease’ and after a year of its release, the rap veteran is now all set to drop the sequel known as ‘King’s Disease II’. The ‘Illmatic’ hitmaker took to his official Instagram account to share the good news with his close to seven million followers.

The hip-hop heavyweight shared the release date of the album and also revealed the official cover art sending the hardcore hip-hop fans into a tizzy. If we talk about ‘King’s Disease’, the critically and commercially acclaimed album was up for streaming on August 21, 2020, and featured guest verses from artists namely, Charlie Wilson, Hit-Boy, Big Sean, Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Anderson .Paak, Brucie B, Nas' supergroup the Firm, Fivio Foreign, and ASAP Ferg. The album scooped the coveted Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Release date

Nas’ 13th studio effort ‘King’s Disease II’ will hit the Internet on August 6, 2021, via Mass Appeal records.  The rapper has not shared a pre-save/pre-add link, as of now. MEAWW will keep you posted.

The iconic rapper’s latest offering will be up for streaming on leading platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Fans can also keep an eye on his official YouTube channel to enjoy the music videos.

Concept

Nas surprised his fans and followers when he dropped the official artwork of his full-length album. The rapper had not divulged any details regarding his latest project, the reason why many hip-hop fans were left gasping in awe. The artwork of ‘King’s Disease II’ comes with a close-up shot of the rapper’s face. The bright orange cover art simply mentions the name of the rapper along with the name of the album. While sharing the same, Nas captioned the post as “We’re back in business! King’s Disease II 8/6.”

Speaking of Nas’ ‘King Disease’, the album included hit singles like ‘Blue Benz’, ’27 Summers’, ’10 Points’ and ‘Til the War is Won’ among a few others. ‘King's Disease’ had debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200 with 47,000 album-equivalent units, of which 28,000 were pure album sales.  It also became Nas' fourteenth top-ten album in the United States.

Tracklist

The award-winning rapper has not shared the official tracklist for ‘King’s Disease II’. However, according to the website Genius, songs namely ‘Sinatra In The Sands’ featuring Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake, ‘EPMD’ featuring Hit-Boy and ‘Life is Like a Dice Game’ featuring Cordae and Freddie Gibbs might make it to the album.
