Billie Eilish 'Happier Than Ever': Fans call sophomore album 'therapy for listeners'
After making her fans wait for months, Billie Eilish finally dropped her sophomore album ‘Happier Than Ever’ on Friday, July 30. The Grammy-winning singer’s latest full-length project is a follow-up to her critically and commercially acclaimed 2019 debut record ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’
The 19-year-old crooner also shared a lengthy post with her close to 90 million followers on her official Instagram account shedding light on her “most satisfying and profound experience” while making the album. Eilish, who enjoys a massive fan following across all social media platforms, was soon trending on the internet as fans shared their views on her latest studio effort. The ‘Lost Cause’ hitmaker had recently courted several controversies concerned with skin showing and queerbaiting.

‘I grew so much in the process of making this album’
Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever’ is stacked with a whopping 16 tracks. Some of these were released earlier with an intention to create hype for the album. All the songs on the project are penned by Eilish and her musician brother Finneas O'Connell. The latter has also produced all the songs. Taking to Twitter, he shared an emotional post saying, “This is the last day Happier Than Ever still belongs to billie and me. Tonight, it belongs to you.”
Eilish, on the other hand, too posted a heart-warming post on her Instagram while sharing the official cover art of the album. “'Happier Than Ever' my sophomore album is finally out. i can’t even process it. this was the most fulfilling most satisfying and profound experience i’ve ever had with my music.” She continued, “finneas and i were just on cloud 9 making this album i feel.. i love every song on this project so so much it literally scares me thinking about putting it out into the world for anyone to listen to. i feel like crying.” Eilish added, “i grew so much in the process of making this album and experienced so much self realization and self reflection. i wish i could go back and make this album all over again because it was some of the best nights in my life. i love you @finneas thank you for being you. i couldn’t ask for a better brother and collaborator, you are my whole world and i couldn’t do any of this without you.” While concluding the post, she stated, “anyway i’m so excited and nervous and blaaah… please take care of this project, it means the world to me. I CANT BELIEVE ITTTT.”

One loyal fan claimed, “Billie Eilish. album of the year. i really am happier than ever.” Another stated, “I hope everyone who doubted billie and happier than ever is having a bad day.” Whereas, one posted, “BILLIE JUST WENT CRAZY ON THIS ONE!!!
