Spoilers ahead for Season 1 Episode 7 of 'Nancy Drew' titled 'The Tale of the Fallen Sea Queen'

The last episode of 'Nancy Drew', 'The Mystery of Blackwood Lodge', indicated that the Marvins and the Hudsons might have something to do with Tiffany Hudson's (Sinead Curry) murder. Tiffany was investigating the businesses of the two families when someone wanted her dead.

Ryan (Riley Smith) and Lucy (Stephanie Van Dyck) were together back in high school and as Ryan had previously claimed, their relationship was a lot more than a mere summer fling. It was revealed in the previous episode that when Ryan and Lucy were at an exclusive uber-elite auction party called The Velvet Masque, she discovered that Ryan's mother had an affair with someone from the Marvin family.

So, the two families have businesses together but they're not connected in just a professional way. Which could explain just how Lucy and Tiffany's deaths are linked.

In the upcoming episode, 'The Tale of the Fallen Sea Queen', the town detective is in a desperate hunt for the town ghost. Nancy believes that solving Lucy's murder will lead her to solve Tiffany's murder. So, to know more about how these deaths are possibly linked, the Drew crew decides to find a way to speak to the only eyewitness to both the murders - Dead Lucy.

In order to prepare for this very risky seance - as George's (Leah Lewis) mother, Victoria Fan (Liza Lapira), points out - they must investigate the last few hours of the Lucy Sable's life. But, needless to say, this goes awry.

When they finally do confront Dead Lucy, Nancy is faced with a truth that might just validate her greatest fears. What is Nancy's greatest fear? Does it have something to do with her mother?

In the promo released by the network, it looks like Chief McGinnis (Adam Beach) is seeking help from Nancy. "We both need to solve this murder", he is seen telling Nancy.

Meanwhile, despite Victoria's warnings, the Drew crew goes ahead with the seance. But what are they going to discover on the other side of it? And how gravely do the things go wrong?

'Nancy Drew' airs on Wednesdays at 9 PM ET/PT on The CW.
