Dr. Nick Marsh (Scott Speedman) is one of the characters speculated to die in the finale of 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 22. The recent teaser of the upcoming episode shows Dr Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Marsh severely injured. As far as the danger is concerned, Hunt's fate may be sealed, considering the character is not expected to return after the events of the finale. It is the same for Dr Theodora Grace 'Teddy' Altman (Kim Raver). The shot of him passed out in the car during the bridge collapse sees water filling in and reaching his chest. It sounds like the warning gongs as the long-running medical drama reaches the end of yet another dramatic season.

However, as for Marsh, the clip sees him stretchered into the hospital with a head laceration and a cervical collar injury. This is followed by Dr Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo). She is seen asking Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) to assist with surgery for him. It is worth noting that Speedman now stars in his own standalone show, 'R.J. Decker,' and it is possible that the series may see the finale as a way for his character's exit. That said, questions linger if he dies in the season finale. For now, things definitely look grim. There is every reason to believe that Hunt and Marsh might not pull through. The show has a history of killing off central characters, especially when the actors playing the roles are exiting the show. Not only has it led to some emotionally-charged episodes, but it has also offered a way out for the actors leaving the series.

In related news, Speedman dropped a cryptic response when asked about his character's fate in the finale. "No way, no way, no way, no way," the actor told TV Insider, "Things have happened, as they do at that hospital in Seattle. So things happen, but we’ll see what happens with Nick’s fate for sure." This leaves much of the speculation hanging till the following week's episode. The series has officially been renewed for Season 23, and it remains to be seen whether Marsh makes it to the next installment. ABC also released the official logline for the finale: "After a catastrophic bridge collapse sends dozens of victims to Grey Sloan, the hospital activates its full disaster response as they race to treat a surge of critically injured patients, including one of their own." Fans can catch the gripping two final episodes on Thursdays at 10 PM ET on ABC.
