My Chemical Romance reveal MCRXX 2020 reunion tour dates, make comeback after nearly a decade

Tickets will go on sale at 12 pm on Friday, January 31, via the band's site. The full list of dates and venues were also released on the MCR site

My Chemical Romance is back!

After releasing a cryptic teaser, captioned 'An Offering...', on the January 19, they released a silent video titled MCRXX less than 24 hours ago featuring the group's trademark occult vibes and ending with a hint of something to come at 8.35 am PT on Wednesday, January 29.

Turns out the announcement was for a reunion tour!

The MCRXX tour will kick off on September 9, 2020, in Detroit and will end on October 11 in Las Vegas. Lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero and bassist Mikey Way will all return to perform on this tour.

Tickets will go on sale at 12 pm on Friday, January 31, via the band's site. The full list of dates and venues were also released on the MCR site, and includes performances in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany and Russia.

While this is the first tour for the band in nearly a decade, they have had several sold-out concerts over the years, including the more recent one at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. In the meantime, Gerard Way spent the hiatus writing a comic book series, 'The Umbrella Academy', which was later developed into a Netflix show, starring Ellen Page.
